How to know if a track is real HQ 320 kbps?

Post by Tranceformator on Mon Oct 10, 2011 11:04 am

Just wondered if anyone knows of any software that can tell if a 320 kbps mp3 is a true one?

Thanks!

I think adobe audition can tell it. Never used one but I guess that this is one of various programs that can tell you that.

I can see that many tracks I bought on Beatport are actually re-encodes...I'm sick of that...I had already heard of Beatport selling re-encoded stuff but now I know it's true...the bastards!!!

Jesus Christ. really? that's very bad. you're paying for 320CBR tracks, but they're reencodes? confused confused

Why don't you send an e-mail to them complaining yourself? Probably they could solve your problem.. scratch scratch

Actually I've noticed that some tracks of the First Second Records label were re-encodes, probably from 192 kbps. I analysed Sean Welsh - Time Lapse (Original Mix) which I bought from there and the spectrum does not go higher than 15000 hertz when it should reach at least 20000 hertz...bullshit!

I don't think sending them an e-mail will solve the problem as I've already tried that and they never replied!

Bring them to court and then they will be answered

I think it's real.
They claim one quality of product, and they give you another.
Thus, they do not fulfill they obligations and violated your costumer rights.

And to be honest, there simply deceived you, handing you a defective product.

Why would they sell lower quality tracks though?

A question for department of mastering of BP Very Happy
I think there are many reasons, but the main - is money.

Many stores (as Audiojelly, Trackitdown, Juno) have a practice of selling tracks
in 192 & 320 if they don't have them in WAV or LSS.
And this is right. (You have no right to trade with product which you don't have).
But somehow BP feels exception Very Happy
Moreover, BP move on and transcode the tracks.

But.

There is another reason.
In releases prior to 2007 this ratio is 60/40

It is not in favor of the store, so that people know. Very Happy
Encoding technology has moved forward.
And what had seemed high quality
Now it seems the encoding.

And this should be one of arguments in discussion about "stealing" or buying music.
